PROTECA, previously called La Protectora S.A., has formed part of the meat industry since 1921. Almost 100 years given over exclusively to the slaughter and cutting of cattle, sheep and horses.
In early 2017 we inaugurated the new facilities of PROTECA in Salinas de Pamplona. A lot of 20,000 m2 built in two plants containing the latest technology in the sector.

PROTECA has an abattoir and cutting room with the latest technology that enable us to offer the best quality guarantees in all our products.
The production line is totally equipped with the latest technology and new computerised systems that control the entire slaughtering and cutting process as well as individual traceability of each animal. Thanks to the new monitoring and control systems we have first hand information about the movement and identification of the meat.
We have a R+D+i department that works constantly to offer improvements to other departments and production lines.
The workers of PROTECA are an essential element in complying with all the quality standards. The entire human team that makes up the staff is involved in continuous training to ensure product quality and to comply with all the necessary hygiene requirements and conditions.
